Overview
A full overhaul of the original Surrender V mod, rebuilt from the ground up for a deeper, more authentic busted experience that mirrors vanilla GTA V while adding new custody, sentencing, and escape features.

Why Remade
The former codebase was riddled with issues that made updates a nightmare. This clean rewrite is faster, easier to maintain, and feature-rich enough to stand on its own.

Key Features

  • Custom Busted System: A rebuilt surrender and custody flow designed to feel closer to vanilla GTA V.

  • Surrender AI (NEW): Officers now respond more naturally when you surrender, moving in and holding their positions around the player.

  • Jail Escape (NEW): Attempt to escape the MRPD holding cell with a lockpick minigame.

  • Prison Escape (NEW): Break out during prison transport with help from a getaway crew.

  • Community Service: Serve lighter sentences by cleaning trash in different locations.

  • Trial System (REWORKED): Reworked trial outcomes based on the severity of your crimes.

  • Police Transport (NEW): Officers can transport the player to booking after surrender.

  • Settings / Debug Menu (NEW): Toggle and test different features in-game.

  • Controller Support: Play with configurable keyboard and controller inputs.

  • Better Chases Plus Compatibility: Built with compatibility support for Better Chases Plus users.


Installation Requirements


Installation
  • Drop the dll, pdb, and ini files into the scripts folder.


Controls
  • Surrender is enabled once you reach at least 1 star.
  • Press X on keyboard or Left D-Pad + A/X on controller to put your hands up.
  • Hold the surrender key/buttons while on foot to force surrender.
  • Open the settings menu with F11 on keyboard or Left D-Pad + Reload on controller by default.
  • Controls can be changed in the INI file.

    • Added configurable controller inputs for surrender and menu access.


  • Added various bug fixes and polish.
    • Fixed clothing restoration issues for Michael, Franklin, and Trevor.
    • Improved cleanup for props, body armor, accessories, and custody outfits.
    • Improved jail door locking behavior.
    • Updated the default INI settings for the new release features.



v0.6: Better Chases Plus Integration & Update

New Features

  • Better Chases Plus Detection: The mod now automatically detects whether Better Chases Plus is installed. You no longer need to use a separate version of the mod for compatibility.

  • Community Service: You can now perform community service while in prison to earn early release.


Improvements
  • Improved online player outfits. Gloves and masks will now be automatically removed.


Bug Fixes
  • Players will now fully heal upon being arrested.


v0.55

Additions
  • You can now force surrender by holding the surrender key/buttons.
  • Arrested characters will now have their clothes changed automatically. Supports Michael, Trevor, Franklin, and both MP Male and MP Female.


Changes
  • Replaced the trash object due to the previous one being restricted to GTA Online. It may be restored later.
  • Improved notification prompts to display the correct input for both controllers and keyboards.
  • Significant updates to the Better Chases Plus version. It is now almost fully compatible.


Bug Fixes
  • Improved overall controller support.
