Installing the NovaBus LFS.
If you are installing for Bus Sim V:
1. Drag the ytf and ytd files into mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\bussim\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\
If you are installing for other uses:
1. Drag the folder novabus into mods\update\x64\dlcpacks
2. Add the following entry into mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml
"dlcpacks:/novabus/"
The main reason for these specific instructions is due to how GTA V spawns the color of the bus.
If not installed properly, the bus can spawn with very weird colors.
To change liveries with SNT, bus signage uses livery1. Main bus livery uses livery2.
Update notes:
1.0.1 Edit "No Bus Sim V" installation. Contains incorrect files.
Those who have the leaked .z3d file you are free to keep it.

Two new buses are currently in the works for GTA V. One is an updated version of Novabus LFS to simplify installs and more for general use (Bus Sim V still works with this bus). Another bus is a brand new bus model for airport.

This model is fantastic! For the replace, just had to modify the carvariations file to get the colors correct and vehicles.meta file to get the livery/signs randomized. Great stuff!
@StonedBeaver33 Bus Sim V has its own dev resources to make your own bus signage with its bus font.
Being from Montreal myself, I've been waiting for this mod for years. It's nice to finally see the LFS rolling in LS!
Any chance for an Addon version of the mod in the future for non-BusSim users?
3 things : 1 is this a addon bus ? 2 will you be doing other buses example : new flyer xd60 orion v orion vll next gen ? 3 if this isnit a addon will it eventley be a addon ?
SCPDUnit23 : I did not understand how to install the Novabus in GTA 5. it does not work. can you create the final location of the files in the download bus file. that way on my side it will be enough to copy and paste and it will be fine.
If you are installing for other uses: (dans le bloc note qui s'apelle ''README BEFORE INSTALLING VERY IMPORTANT'' ) in summary I did not understand how to install only the novabus model in GTA 5 (without the simulator bus).
Is for example '' update.rpf '' or '' dlclist.xml '' or '' vehicles.rpf '' and '' dlc.rpf '' a file? should I find it directly in the GTA 5 game folder? or should I find it on the internet?
would you be able to put the real engine sound of a novabus as we like them?
in my opinion: too many repetitions of the 4 digit 1334 on the bus. you have to vary the numbers. example 1335, 1470, 1450, 1269etc ....
Will this step work with LSTransit mod?

I can confirm this mod works with the LSTransit. Bus Simulator V is broken atm since it hasent been updated so I used LST.
quick question im trying to make a skin for the bus but when I put it on it makes everything on the bus red when I have it set to white how do I fix this?
@SCPDUnit23 is it possible to install this into a fivem server using vmenu to change liveries and such?
Is there any chance we might see further expansion of buses for Bus Sim V/just in general? I think I can say hands-down this is by far the best North American-style bus available.

Amazing vehicle! Is it possible to make the LED destination signs glow? During night time they’re almost not visible at all.
People like the novabus but wonder why they don't see it for themselfs. The Toronto Transit Commission haves these buses and the region up north https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York_Region_Transit (which is what this model is based on) have these and the only different between the liveries are the black stripe on this one.
also, the Viva bus Livery is the Parent company of York Region Transit (Shortform YRT)
Hello, you probbaly won't reply since this was 4 years ago lol, but how do I spawn the bus if I installed the no bus sim v version? is there any model name to spawn it using Simple Trainer V?
