This is my attempt at making the game's vehicle handling as realistic as possible while still fit-in with the open-world game environment of GTA5. All road vehicles are modified to have realistic physics. I've beat the game at 100 percent with this mod installed so it does not break missions. This mod has been 2 years in the making.
Main features:
-Realistic COG.
-Stop-watch timed 0-60mph.
-Realistic top speed.
-Realistic brake distance.
-Realistic suspension upper and lower limit, spring rate and damping.
-Realistic tire grip, for both acceleration / breaking and cornering.
-Increased crash deformation.
-Terrain's effect on grip is much more reasonable. Supercars can no longer climb hills like cable-cars.
-Got rid of the stupid fLowSpeedTractionLossMult value, cars won't do burn-outs by just slightly touch the pedal. Burn-outs now happen when should.
-Tires now act as a part of the suspension system(as they should!) and will absorb some bumps. Choosing wheels with low profile tire(sports, SUV, hi-end) or high profile tire(muscle, lowrider, turner, offroad) at Los Santos Customs will have different effect on ride quality.
-Anti-lock brakes are now only available on cars with appropriate model year. Slam on the brakes when driving vintage and classic vehicles may cause the wheels to lock-up.

Help please, game crashes at the loading screen after i install this mod. Uninstall and the game is ok but installing it crashes the game
Hey. I use this mod and it is very good and to make such a mod you have to be able to change the game engine etc. And I have such a request you would make a mod in which the physics engine would be completely changed. So you could destroy trees by hitting them with a car or blowing them up, destroying huge skyscrapers etc. Something just Cause. In general, everything could be destroyed with quite interesting damages. And also such a small thing as, for example, in the prologue (the first mission in GTAV) was in the video when they were driving the car, Michael hit the side of the policeman's car and the tire was punctured and the rim was twisted, and in general, the policeman flew off and knocked off the snowfall falling on the roof under the load of the car and destroying sirens, which normally cannot be done in GTAV. I know it's scripted, that's why I'm writing to the mod creator, not Rockstar Games. It's nice if you did such a rebuilding of the engine in the game, no matter how much the mod would weigh.

This mod still works as of 10/5/2020. I'm trying to find that right mix of mods to make driving realistic. I just found this mod. Does this also work for trucks/buses/bikes/planes/boats?
How can I add this to my FiveM server?
Can I edit your handling and upload it? Your handling is the most fun compared to what I've tried so far. But I've adjusted some part, especially the suspension, to give the feeling of weight.

im kinda new to modding and i couldnt figure out how to install it. can anybody help me out? Im dropping the 42046f-Yet file into OpenIV GTA V > Mods > update > update.rpf > common > Data > Handling.meta and doesnt work..

Thank you so much for this Mod. I cant explain how much the original handling ruins the fun for me. Driving arround was so boring and easy and had nothing to with driving cars. I mean, even you keep it casual and arcade but compared to the original handling, it feels more like gta4 where driving arround was super immersive and the cars felt heavy. The best part is the understearing and the increased brake distances. Missing these 2 things in GTA5 was sad for me and every traffic situation was to easy to solve without using brakes or brain. Now you have to drive more carefully like in real life. I was searching a lot for good handling mods, but every mod had something i didnt really like. This one is the best ive tried.
