join me peds
make pals with up to 7 peds!
they will protect you and follow you anywhere,
on foot, in any vehicle or even with a parachute.
in case of trouble they will attack hostile peds
but also they will shoot any object you shoot at.
if this aint enough you can now call up to 40! additional armed peds for backup.
(god mode doesnt apply for them, and they wont follow you in vehicles once they arrived at your position)
you can set random or player weapon for your pals.
setting random, every ped will get 1 random weapon and stick to it.
setting player weapon, all pals will use the same weapon as the player at any time.
there is also a godmode for the pals (check below in controls section)
and a new experimental cops only mode for LSPDFR.
if you enter a vehicle, your pals will also join you.
when your vehilce is full, the remaining pals will grab a nearby vehicle to follow you.
if there is no vehicle of your current type (like when you grab the only heli around)
the same model will be spawned for your pals.
now you can take any seat in a vehicle and let one of your pals drive or fly to your waypoint.
of course there is still pogo and rave mode.
make the city a big party (or mess) involving all peds around you.
you can start animations for pals and player with a keystroke.
depending on pogo or rave mode is on or off different random animations will be triggered

@zilch Glad to see this mod take off! You know I'd really like to have an option to pay each ped I recruit some money, as if I pay them to assist me in a stressed police situation. Man I will surely use the mod for this kinda feature!
I don't like this mod. what are the features of scared peds and dancing all peds for? really, that feature makes peds in gta go crazy, plus when i press the "J" the peds animation is very annoying, dancing and giving thumbs up, this is all bullshit
@zilch Its working fine but when I load a save it gets bad, when I recruit someone they will join me but just stay standing without following me, weapon changing still works tho and the backup I call follows me, just that the one recruited with J isnt working right.. Awesome mod!
@TheKerberos ok, thanks for the info. for now just send the peds away (B key) before loading a savegame.
@Seiya lol dude, apart from the join animation, everything else can be disabled if you do not plan to use it, just like I did. The mod is great.
Awesome mod brother brining back some SA vibes with this one! is there any way to choose what lines are said when grouping up with someone? Im the creator of the CJ Voice Audio Mod Replacement for franklin and i noticed the lines used for getting someone to follow you is the lines for prostitutes? i know this because of what lines CJ says now lol how could i change the lines to use a diffrent .awc file? i.e my CJ mod has lines set to chop the dog which are actually the follow lines from San Andreas ( group up lines for forming a possey ) this way i could have my CJ in GTA v when getting someone to follow him say his follow lines instead of the prostitutes lines used in your mod for follow commands
@zilch loving the mod so far. quick question though. how do you make the peds stand closer to you while still being able to just walk? i've tried lowering the value of "formation_spacing", that somehow works but the peds just keep running and keep bumping in to me lol.
@zilch found out it was because i was using either 0,1,2,3,4 on "ped_formation", i tried default "4.0" on "formation_spacing" still the same, peds persist on running and not walking. the default "7" is somewhat okay but when i try to edit "formation_spacing" to "0", the peds are still too far for the way i want it. do you possibly have any work around for this? or maybe add a button for walk or run? just like what you did for driving?

thanks. for now there is no way to do so. i had to make those settings available in the ini file...

formation_spacing sets the distance to the player. the smaller the value, the closer the peds are to the player.
what about setting it to 2.5 ?
the values for the ped_formation means this:
0: Default
1: Circle Around Leader
2: Alternative Circle Around Leader
3: Line, with Leader at center
4: Unknown
>4: Will be ignored by SET_GROUP_FORMATION

hi, thanks for the reply. yeah i've tried to setting formation_spacing from 4 to 0 and i've also tried setting ped_formation from 0 to 4. Other than ped_formation "7", they still run and bump into me.
i'm currently running ped_formation: 7 and formation_spacing: 0. they don't run and bump into me anymore but peds are spaced too far for my liking still.

So if I change my relationship group to pd but I'm not a pd model the cops don't wanna get in pd vehicles with me. Like anything that's not a street cop or fib agent. So like I've got my guy in a noose outfit, I changed my "team" to the pd team, and I've got swat bodyguards. Theyll stay in normal vehicles fine but if I try to enter pd vehicles they'll just constantly get in and out. I can only be on the pd team in a pd vehicle with them if my model is also a police officer or fib agent. Swat and military models also have this problem.

@zilch love the mod, is there any way to give freemode ped a voice like ultimate backup (LSPDFR) when recruited. I think it would make this mod a must have for a lot of people.
Been using this as a "recruit anyone" thing like in SA, using it for my addon peds and it's all good. Only issue is that they refuse to shoot when inside my vehicle, resorting to middle finger cops and other threats, any fix for that? i've tried holding an SMG inside the car so they get it as well but no luck
I have some recommendations for the next version.
Follow the marked mission points
Have pursuits of mission targets, or allow the player to select a target for the ped to follow (similar to the police partner in LSPDFR)
Implement a feature where you can assign weapons to the peds.
